World Legacy

World Legacy is an archetype of mainly DARK Machine main deck monsters, each designed to support a different facet of Link-heavy play. World Legacy - "World Armor" searches any World Legacy card on summon, making it the natural starting point for most sequences, while World Legacy - "World Chalice" can tribute itself to send an Extra Deck monster to the graveyard and then replace itself with two World Chalice monsters from the deck. World Legacy - "World Crown" slips into a zone a Link Monster points to and tributes itself to negate and destroy an Extra Deck monster's activated effect, giving the archetype an in-engine interrupt. World Legacy - "World Wand" triggers on being sent to the graveyard to special summon another World Legacy monster from the hand, chaining resources together across turns.

The spells and traps extend those resources in several directions. Lib the World Key Blademaster sets World Legacy Spell/Trap cards directly from the deck, while World Gears of Theurlogical Demiurgy rewards Link Summoning using three monsters of different Types and Attributes by clearing the entire board. The counter trap World Legacy's Sorrow negates any spell, trap, or monster effect while the controller has a co-linked monster, rewarding dense board states where multiple Link Monsters point to one another.

The archetype's ultimate threat is Avida, Rebuilder of Worlds, which requires eight or more distinctly named Link Monsters across both fields and graveyards before it can be special summoned. When it resolves, every other monster on the field, in the graveyards, and banished is shuffled back into the decks, erasing the opponent's established resources entirely.
