Unchained's main deck monsters each carry a self-destruct trigger and a chain reaction attached to it. Unchained Twins - Aruha and Unchained Twins - Rakea can destroy a card they control to Special Summon themselves from the hand, and whenever any of the Twins are destroyed by a card effect or in battle they fetch any Unchained monster from the hand or Deck in their place. Unchained Ogre Shma extends this further by Normal Summoning into a second Unchained monster from the Deck while immediately destroying something to keep the chain going. The Level 6 Souls provide higher-body options: Unchained Soul of Sharvara destroys a face-down or Fiend monster to Special Summon herself from the hand, and on the way to the graveyard she searches any Unchained Spell or Trap directly to the field as a Set card — positioning Abomination's Prison or the set traps to be destroyed and trigger their own recruitment effects.
That recursive design — destroy something, summon something, destroy something else — feeds directly into the Link climb. Unchained Soul Lord of Yama arrives off two Fiend materials and searches the hand, acting as a bridge toward Unchained Soul of Anguish and eventually Unchained Abomination, a Link-4 that generates a free destruction each time any card effect destroys something, every battle destruction, and again in the End Phase. Unchained Enma Lord Yama adds resilience on top, substituting itself for a face-up card whenever it would be destroyed and reviving up to two destroyed Fiends at the End Phase.
Going first, the deck aims to establish Unchained Abomination and a Set spell or trap, creating a board that punishes any interaction with yet another destruction. Unchained Soul Rage Abominator supplements this by negating an opponent's Special Summoned monster's effects on arrival, while its graveyard effect allows it to be banished to destroy a monster that activates an effect on the field whenever a Link-4 or higher Unchained monster is present — rewarding the deck for maintaining its established board through the opponent's turn.
