Playing Style
Spright Blue, Spright Jet, and Spright Red form the backbone of the deck's opening plays. Blue searches any Spright monster from the Deck when Special Summoned, making it the primary extender and the card most responsible for generating further bodies on the field. Jet mirrors that role on the Spell and Trap side, fetching Spright Starter or Spright Gamma Burst the moment it hits the field. Red and Spright Carrot both negate effects as Quick Effects by Tributing another Level, Rank, or Link 2 monster, with Red punishing monster effects and Carrot handling Spells and Traps; each can destroy the negated card outright if the Tributed monster was Rank or Link 2.
The engine self-propagates because every main deck Spright Special Summons from the hand simply by controlling another Level or Rank 2 monster. Spright Starter accelerates the chain by pulling any Spright directly from the Deck at the cost of LP, and Gigantic Spright converts two Level 2 bodies into a Rank 2 that Special Summons a Level 2 from the Deck while locking both players into the Level 2 range for the rest of the turn. Spright Elf recycles Level 2 monsters from the GY, while Spright Sprind mills a Level 2 on Link Summon and can bounce opposing monsters by detaching from a co-linked Xyz.
The deck strongly favours going first, establishing a board of negations through Red and Carrot backed by the protection Elf provides to the monsters it points to. Spright Smashers offers a disruptive out for the going-second game by banishing a Spright card to remove an opponent's card alongside one of your own Level 2 monsters, though that symmetrical cost means sequencing around it carefully matters.
