Playing Style
The Frog archetype spends its graveyard constantly, treating it less as a destination for spent resources and more as an active staging ground. Swap Frog is the usual starting point, Special Summoning itself from the hand by discarding a WATER monster, then sending a Level 2 or lower WATER Aqua monster directly from the Deck to the graveyard. Ronintoadin feeds off that accumulation, banishing any Frog in the graveyard to Special Summon itself repeatedly, making it trivial to put two Level 2 Aqua monsters on the field for an Xyz Summon. Treeborn Frog contributes from a different angle, returning to the field each Standby Phase unprompted so long as no Spell or Trap Cards are in play, providing a recurring body for Tribute costs or further Xyz plays.
The deck's primary payoff is Toadally Awesome, which sits on the field and intercepts opponent Spell, Trap, and monster effect activations by sending an Aqua monster from hand or field to the graveyard, then sets the destroyed card to the Frog player's side of the field. That stolen card advantage compounds quickly. Substitoad deepens the engine by tributing any monster to search and Special Summon any Frog from the Deck, while granting all Frogs immunity to battle destruction, letting Des Frog flood the board relative to the number of T.A.D.P.O.L.E.s banked in the graveyard and enabling the one-card wipe of Des Croaking.
The deck favours a grinding, resource-positive game plan rather than ending things in a single burst, accumulating small advantages through Dupe Frog's search on death, Poison Draw Frog's draw trigger, and Toadally Awesome's graveyard recovery until the opponent runs out of answers.
