Nordic Relic

Nordic Relic Hlidskjalf is the card the deck most wants to see early. Its ability to Special Summon any Nordic monster directly from the Deck accelerates the ritual of gathering the three Nordic sub-archetypes — Alfar, Beast, and Ascendant — that the Aesir Synchro monsters demand as materials. Because each Aesir requires specific Nordic types, Hlidskjalf's flexibility in fetching whichever piece is missing keeps the engine moving. When Hlidskjalf eventually lands in the graveyard, it converts into a hand filter, trading a redundant card for a fresh Nordic search and smoothing out draws across the mid-game.

The Aesir monsters — Odin, Thor, and Loki — are the threats the supporting Relics are designed to protect and extend. Nordic Relic Svalinn is the most durable of these tools: while an Aesir stands on the field, it can blank every face-up card the opponent controls simultaneously, then on a subsequent turn tribute a Nordic monster to revive a fallen Aesir from the graveyard, effectively giving the strategy a recurring reset button. Nordic Relic Laevateinn punishes anything that trades into the player's monsters through battle, destroying the offending card with an effect that cannot be responded to.

Nordic Relic Brisingamen rounds out the set with a combat trick that temporarily grants one of the player's monsters the base ATK of an opponent's, turning unfavourable exchanges into clean trades. The archetype skews towards a grind-oriented, going-first posture, establishing an Aesir as quickly as possible and then using the Relics to ensure it survives long enough to close the game through repeated pressure.
