Playing Style

The Infernoid engine runs on graveyard density. Void Launch mills up to two Infernoid monsters per Standby Phase, while Infernoid Decatron — the one freely Normal Summonable member — sends any Infernoid from the deck to the graveyard upon summon, copies its name, and gains its Level and effects. This combination of milling tools rapidly fills the graveyard with monsters that can banish one another to Special Summon themselves, provided the total Levels and Ranks of effect monsters on the field stay at eight or lower. That restriction shapes every decision: players must sequence their summons carefully, bringing out smaller members like Infernoid Antra or Infernoid Harmadik early before graduating to the heavier pieces.

The larger Infernoids bring disruptive entry effects that reward pressing into an opponent's board. Infernoid Devyaty destroys all non-Void spells and traps on arrival, while Infernoid Onuncu clears every other monster on the field. Both also carry Quick Effect tributes that negate and banish spell or monster activations respectively, meaning a board featuring both monsters taxes the opponent's resources on their own turn. Void Feast accelerates this considerably, pulling up to three monsters from the deck in a single trap activation so long as their combined Levels total exactly eight.

Void Imagination gives the deck a route into Infernoid Tierra, a Fusion that mills from both Extra Decks and decks at summon in quantities that scale with the number of differently-named materials used — ten or more forces both players to discard their entire hand, a devastating equaliser when the Infernoid player has already committed their resources to the board. Infernoid Evil supplements this line by seeding additional Infernoids into the graveyard equal to the Level of whatever was banished to enable it.
