Yubel

Playing Style
Yubel is built on a philosophy almost unique in the game: its monsters carry zero ATK and zero DEF, and rather than being harmed by battle, they punish the opponent for attacking at all. Each form in the chain — Yubel, Yubel - Terror Incarnate, and Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare — cannot be destroyed by battle and redirects the attacking monster's ATK back at the opponent as effect damage, turning the opponent's own offence into a liability. The deck's goal is to keep one of these monsters on the field long enough that the opponent either takes lethal reflected damage or is slowly cleared out by Terror Incarnate's end-phase board wipe, which destroys every other monster on the field each turn it remains in play.
Getting to that position relies heavily on Spirit of Yubel, which can be Special Summoned directly from the hand when an opponent's monster declares an attack and then searches any Yubel-related Spell or Trap when it arrives. Because the base Yubel requires a Tribute during each of your own End Phases to stay out, the deck invests in cards that either supply fodder or engineer a quick destruction so the chain advances to Terror Incarnate.
The Fusion monster Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever extends the archetype's reach considerably. Summoned using any Yubel monster plus additional Effect Monsters on the field, it inherits the same battle immunity and damage reflection of the earlier forms while also banishing whatever it battles, denying the opponent any Graveyard recovery from their destroyed monsters.
