Yang Zing

Yang Zing is a Wyrm-Type archetype that generates advantage through a chain of on-destruction effects, with each main deck monster replacing itself by Special Summoning another Yang Zing directly from the Deck when it is destroyed. Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing sits at Level 1 and also revives itself from the Graveyard whenever another Yang Zing is destroyed, making it a persistent Tuner that enables repeated Synchro plays. Bi'an, Bixi, Pulao, Suanni, and Taotie each carry a Quick Effect allowing the player to Synchro Summon during the opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase using only Yang Zing monsters, and each grants the resulting Synchro Monster a different form of protection — immunity to battle destruction, immunity to Trap effects, immunity to Spell effects, a 500 ATK boost, or a locked control position respectively. Jiaotu, Darkness of the Yang Zing accelerates the engine by discarding two Yang Zing cards to immediately assemble two specific monsters from the Deck, enabling a Synchro Summon as early as turn one.

The primary Synchro targets reward using varied Attributes as materials. Denglong, First of the Yang Zing searches any Yang Zing card on summon and can manipulate its own Level by sending a Wyrm from the Deck to the Graveyard, setting up follow-up Synchro plays, while Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing shuffles opposing cards back into the Deck equal to the number of different Attributes used to summon it. Yazi, Evil of the Yang Zing provides targeted removal that cannot be answered by opponent's card effects, and when destroyed continues the replacement chain by summoning any Wyrm from the Deck. Chaofeng, Phantom of the Yang Zing locks out opponent monster effects whose Attributes match those of the Yang Zing materials used, and Nine Pillars of Yang Zing offers hard negation so long as a Yang Zing card is present on the field, making the deck considerably more disruptive on the first turn than its relatively modest individual card stats might suggest.
