Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity is the card the deck most wants to resolve. By detaching one of its Xyz Materials, Zenmaity Special Summons any Wind-Up monster directly from the Deck, and that summon can trigger Wind-Up Magician, which in turn Special Summons another Wind-Up from the Deck in Defence Position. Chaining these triggers together generates a field's worth of monsters from very little investment, and because each effect resets on a fresh copy of a card, the loop can repeat whenever a second Zenmaity is constructed from the fodder Magician provides. The practical outcome is a hand stripped of cards through Wind-Up Hunter, which Tributes any Wind-Up to force a discard at random, potentially leaving the opponent with nothing at all before the first attack is declared.

Reaching Zenmaity requires two Level 3 monsters, and the deck produces them readily. Wind-Up Rat recalls a Wind-Up from the Graveyard in Defence Position while converting itself, and Wind-Up Shark special summons itself from hand the moment any Wind-Up arrives on the field, then adjusts its own Level to match whatever rank is needed. Wind-Up Factory keeps the hand stocked throughout, adding a Level 4 or lower Wind-Up whenever any Wind-Up effect resolves.

Going first is strongly preferred, since the Hunter loop closes out the opponent's hand before they can interact. Wind-Up Zenmaines provides a resilient body to stall behind if the first push is disrupted, replacing destruction with a deferred pop of its own, and Wind-Up Rabbit can phase a threatened monster out of danger entirely by banishing it until the following Standby Phase.
