Vassal

Playing Style
The Vassal archetype demands very little from its hand before it begins generating advantage: most members can place themselves onto the field with a single card, and several of those self-Special Summons come with additional payoffs the moment they are Tributed. That efficiency makes the deck remarkably fast to assemble, needing only one or two pieces before a Tribute Summon becomes live.
The engine works by chaining the Vassals' individual entry conditions into a sequence of Tribute fodder. Mithra the Thunder Vassal is the pivot of this chain, Special Summoning itself for free and placing a Vassal Token on the opponent's side of the field, effectively providing two Tributes from a single hand card while also granting an extra Tribute Summon for the turn. Garum the Storm Vassal compounds this by recycling a Tribute Summoned monster back to hand, then searching any 800 ATK / 1000 DEF monster when it is itself Tributed, keeping the pipeline full. Landrobe the Rock Vassal adds disruption to the setup, flipping an opponent's monster face-down on arrival, while Berlineth the Firestorm Vassal and Lucius the Shadow Vassal punish the opponent directly — banishing a card from hand or revealing all Set cards respectively — the moment they are used as Tributes.
Because every self-Special Summon among the Vassals bars Extra Deck plays for that turn, the archetype commits fully to the Main Deck monster it is building toward. Going first is natural for a strategy that wants to Tribute Summon unimpeded, though Escher the Frost Vassal, which drops from the hand whenever the opponent fills two or more Spell and Trap Zones, gives the deck a reactive going-second option that punishes backrow-heavy setups.
