Valkyrie

Valkyrie is an all-Fairy archetype that pressures opponents through repeated Battle Phases and an ever-growing field of monsters. The engine is threaded together primarily by Valkyrie Dritte, which searches any Valkyrie card from the Deck on summon, and Valkyrie Sechste, which Special Summons any Valkyrie from the Deck upon being Special Summoned herself. Valkyrie Sigrun bridges the higher end of the scale by self-Special Summoning from hand by discarding a face-up Spell or Trap, then immediately calling up any Level 8 or lower Valkyrie from hand or GY. These three cards give the deck reliable access to its boss monsters — Valkyrie Erda, which banishes every card the opponent would send to their GY on destruction, and Valkyrie Brunhilde, which shrugs off opponent Spell effects and grows proportionally as the opponent fills their board.

The deck's defining finish comes from Mischief of the Time Goddess, a Quick-Play Spell that skips directly to the start of your next Battle Phase when activated at the end of the current one. Combining this with Ride of the Valkyries, which floods the field with multiple Valkyries in a single Normal Spell activation, creates a sequence where the opponent faces back-to-back Battle Phases with no window to recover. The continuous Goddess Spells — Skuld's Oracle, Verdande's Guidance, and Urd's Verdict — support this plan by stacking the opponent's Deck, disrupting their Set cards, and locking Valkyries behind targeting and destruction immunity respectively.

Valkyrie Funfte accelerates setup by sending any Spell or Trap from the Deck to the GY, putting Mischief of the Time Goddess in reach of Valkyrie Erste, which retrieves it from the GY after being Special Summoned by a Spell effect. The reliance on multiple monsters sharing the field and on Normal Spells resolving without interruption does make the archetype sensitive to hand traps that disrupt the initial summon chain, as a broken setup leaves Mischief of the Time Goddess without the field presence needed to capitalise on the extra Battle Phase.
