Playing Style
Ghost Wyvern, the Underworld Dragon and Ghost Sleeper, the Underworld Princess form the searching backbone of the deck. Whenever Ghost Wyvern is Normal or Special Summoned, it immediately fetches a copy of Ghost Fusion from the Deck, meaning any way to put it on the field translates directly into spell access. Ghost Sleeper provides a second route to Ghost Fusion the moment it is sent to the Graveyard, so using it as Fusion Material, discarding it, or any other form of disposal all reward the player. Between the two monsters, the deck can reliably assemble Ghost Fusion in the early turns without dedicating much space to conventional draw or search cards.
Ghost Sleeper carries a second effect that extends plays beyond the initial setup. From the Graveyard, on a subsequent turn, it can banish itself alongside a discarded card to retrieve any banished Level 4 or higher Zombie monster back to hand. This creates a recovery loop: cards spent on Fusion Summons or other costs do not necessarily stay out of reach, particularly given that Ghost Wyvern itself tutors a Level 2 or lower Zombie Tuner to hand or Graveyard when it is banished during the End Phase, setting up further Synchro or Fusion plays.
Ghost Lancer, the Underworld Spearman covers board states where the opponent has already established presence. Its free Special Summon from hand requires only that the opponent controls a monster while the player controls none, giving the deck an immediate body without spending Normal Summon rights. Its resistance to destruction by battle against non-Extra Deck monsters, combined with piercing damage against Defence Position monsters, means it can apply sustained pressure even against opponents attempting to stall behind high-DEF walls.
