Time Thief

The board Time Thief wants to hold at the end of its first turn is a fully loaded Time Thief Redoer sitting alongside Time Thief Perpetua, with a mix of monster, spell, and trap materials distributed across both. Redoer's passive then begins accruing material during each Standby Phase by pulling cards from the top of the opponent's deck, and once it holds all three types it can detach them in a single response to banish itself temporarily, draw a card, and return a threatening field card to the top of the opponent's deck — a package that generates both disruption and advantage simultaneously.

Getting there typically starts with Time Thief Regulator, which tributes itself to recruit two different Time Thief monsters directly from the deck. Time Thief Adjuster extends the line further by special summoning itself whenever another Time Thief hits the field and immediately sending a Time Thief card from the deck to the graveyard, feeding the GY resources that Time Thief Startup and Time Thief Flyback later convert into additional Xyz material. Time Thief Winder adds a search on summon by detaching from any Xyz monster already on board, keeping the hand replenished.

The deck's graveyard economy is its real engine: Bezel Ship and Temporwhal both revive themselves by detaching Xyz material, letting the player restock boards that opponents spend resources breaking. Time Thief Retrograde punishes spell and trap activations by negating them and converting the stopped card straight into material, which can unlock the conditional direct-attack clause on Time Thief Hack. Because so much of the strategy depends on building and spending stacked materials, board wipes that prevent Xyz Summons or banish graveyards can disrupt the recycling loop the deck relies on to sustain pressure across multiple turns.
