Playing Style

The Agent archetype operates off a remarkably short setup chain. A single Normal Summon of The Agent of Mystery - Earth searches any Agent monster from the Deck, or Master Hyperion directly when The Sanctuary in the Sky is on the field, meaning the deck can threaten its most powerful pieces from as early as the first turn with just one card committed to the board. Protector of The Agents - Moon extends that speed further: Link Summoned from any two Fairy monsters, it sends The Sanctuary in the Sky or a card that mentions it from the Deck to the Graveyard on arrival, unlocking a second search for The Agent of Mystery - Earth if the Field Spell is already live.

Once The Sanctuary in the Sky is established, the deck's pressure comes primarily from Master Hyperion, which Special Summons itself from the hand by banishing any Agent from the hand, field, or Graveyard and then destroys one card on the field per turn by banishing a LIGHT Fairy from the Graveyard — a rate that doubles while the Field Spell remains face-up. The Agent of Destruction - Venus supplements the grind by recycling Mystical Shine Balls that The Agent of Creation - Venus burned through during setup, keeping the Graveyard stocked with LIGHT Fairies for Hyperion's removal. The Executor of the Underworld - Pluto adds a flipping tool and another avenue to recover The Sanctuary in the Sky from the Graveyard, while The Sacred Waters in the Sky and The Agent of Life - Neptune ensure the Field Spell reaches the field consistently. Because so many of its effects scale with The Sanctuary in the Sky being present, disrupting or replacing that Field Spell is the most direct way to blunt the deck's tempo.
