Spirit Message

Playing Style
Destiny Board is the card the entire strategy exists to resolve. Once all four Spirit Messages — "I", "N", "A", and "L" — have been placed in the Spell and Trap Zone alongside it, the duel ends immediately in the controller's favour regardless of life point totals or board state. Placing them happens gradually, one per opponent's End Phase, so the deck must survive four full turns while keeping both Destiny Board and every Spirit Message already placed intact — a single disruption that removes any one piece sends the whole set to the Graveyard.
Getting Destiny Board onto the field reliably is the job of Dark Spirit's Mastery, which searches either Destiny Board itself or a Level 8 Fiend monster on activation, then recycles pieces from the Graveyard through its banish effect on later turns. Sentence of Doom accelerates the placement sequence by sending itself to push a Spirit Message directly into the Spell and Trap Zone outside of the usual End Phase timing, effectively buying a turn. Dark Sanctuary supports the engine's survival: Spirit Messages placed as Normal Monsters through its effect become untargetable and immune to card effects, and its coin-flip attack negation can punish aggressive opponents who swing into those tokens while also shaving their life points down.
The deck is patient by nature and goes first whenever possible to maximise the number of End Phases available before the opponent can mount pressure. Because every Spirit Message is restricted to placement via Destiny Board's effect, the letters themselves contribute nothing if Destiny Board is not already established, making that first card the absolute priority of any opening hand.
