Shiranui is a FIRE Zombie Synchro archetype whose main deck monsters each perform a distinct role in feeding the graveyard and banish pile that the Synchro climb depends on. Shiranui Solitaire tributes any Zombie to search a Zombie Tuner directly from the deck, most commonly pulling Shiranui Spectralsword, whose graveyard effect banishes itself alongside a non-Tuner Zombie to Special Summon a Zombie Synchro Monster whose Level matches their combined total without using the normal Summon. Shiranui Squire covers the same Spectralsword search on Normal Summon, while Shiranui Smith adds any Shiranui card from the deck when used as Synchro Material, converting the act of Synchro Summoning into a search. Shiranui Spiritmaster extends the board by Special Summoning a second Shiranui from hand or graveyard on Normal Summon, setting up the two-body requirement for Spectralsword's banish play.

The deck accumulates advantage by deliberately cycling monsters through the banish zone, since the majority of Shiranui monsters carry a second effect that triggers when they are banished. Shiranui Samurai returns a Shiranui from the graveyard to hand, Shiranui Squire replaces itself with a draw and discard, and Shiranui Spiritmaster destroys a face-up card the opponent controls. These triggers mean each banish generates a free action, rewarding the graveyard-to-banish pipeline the Synchro plays naturally produce.

At the top of the Synchro ladder, Shiranui Sunsaga clears opponent's cards equal to the number of banished or graveyard Zombie Synchro Monsters returned to the Extra Deck on its Special Summon, and protects the board by banishing a Shiranui from the graveyard in place of any Zombie that would be destroyed. Shiranui Skillsaga Supremacy supplements this by shielding Synchro Monsters from card effects and reinstating a banished Zombie Synchro during the opponent's turn, keeping the established board resilient across both players' turns.
