Ryu-Ge is a multi-Type archetype that deliberately spreads its monsters across four distinct Types — Dragon, Dinosaur, Sea Serpent, and Wyrm — and turns that diversity into a mechanical advantage rather than treating it as a liability. Each non-Dragon member self-selects a companion Continuous Spell on entry: Genro Ryu-Ge Hakva fetches Ryu-Ge Realm - Wyrm Winds from the Deck by banishing itself, Kairo Ryu-Ge Emva retrieves Ryu-Ge Realm - Sea Spires by discarding itself, and Kyoro Ryu-Ge Kaiva shuffles itself away for Ryu-Ge Realm - Dino Domains. These Realm Spells then grant the monsters that match their Type a reactive protection or disruption ability — Sea Spires grants battle immunity and a bounce, Wyrm Winds redirects destroyed monsters to banishment and can zero out an opponent's ATK, and Dino Domains provides conditional negation of weaker monsters. Crucially, each Realm effect costs placing another Continuous Spell on the bottom of the Deck, so the suite demands careful sequencing and recycling rather than simply flooding the field.

Ryu-Ge War Zone is the archetype's primary setup piece, simultaneously adding, banishing, and sending one Dinosaur, Sea Serpent, and Wyrm monster to prepare multiple revival conditions in a single activation. From there, the Pendulum duo — Sosei Ryu-Ge Mistva and Tensei Ryu-Ge Anva — bridges the gap between setup and offensive pressure. Sosei can drop directly from the Extra Deck whenever a monster is destroyed, Tributing a Level 10 Ryu-Ge to do so and then immediately placing additional Continuous Spells onto the field. Tensei meanwhile protects Ryu-Ge Spell activations from responses and punishes its own destruction by recovering yet another Continuous Spell or Trap. The deck's going-first gameplan concentrates on assembling Realm Spells across the backrow while Kairo Ryu-Ge Emva's disruption — bouncing the opponent's entire hand only to replace it with a fresh draw — complicates any attempt to dismantle that setup on the following turn.
