Ragnaraika is unusual among Link-based strategies in that it rebuilds its Extra Deck monsters directly from the graveyard rather than cycling through hand or deck resources to re-establish them. Every Ragnaraika Link Monster shares a graveyard effect: by returning an Insect, Plant, or Reptile monster you control to the bottom of the deck, it revives itself. This self-recursion means the deck can sustain a full board of multiple Link Monsters across several turns without exhausting its Extra Deck access, and Ragnaraika Wisteria of Woe reinforces this by shuffling spent materials back into the deck each End Phase, ensuring the fuel supply remains intact.

The deck assembles its initial board through a chain of type-matters effects. Ragnaraika the Evil Seed searches up to two Ragnaraika cards on summon, while Ragnaraika Wicked Butterfly pitches itself to generate an immediate special summon and later rewards controlling multiple Insect, Plant, or Reptile types with extra draws. These pieces feed into Link climbing through Ragnaraika Skeletal Soldier and Ragnaraika Mantis Monk, the latter fetching Ragnaraika Hunting Dance to convert type diversity among controlled Link Monsters into targeted mass destruction. Ragnaraika Chain Coils provides disruption by shutting off hand monster effects the moment an opponent attempts to interact.

Ragnaraika Stag Sovereign sits at the top of the ladder as the deck's primary threat, destroying two monsters whenever the opponent special summons from the Extra Deck. Because every Link Monster self-recurs, repeatedly bouncing them back into play can produce a near-endless string of Stag Sovereign triggers, which gradually dismantles any opponent relying on extra deck plays to establish their own board.
