Predaplant

The board Predaplant wants to end its turn holding is Predaplant Dragostapelia sitting alongside Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon. Dragostapelia's continuous Quick Effect places Predator Counters on opposing monsters and strips the activated effects of anything wearing one, while Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon can tribute a countered monster to negate any card or effect activation. Together they create a layered disruption package that punishes the opponent for playing through either piece individually, with Predaplant Triphyoverutum available as a third body capable of negating Extra Deck summons outright and gaining enormous ATK from all the countered monsters on the field.

The setup begins with Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio, whose summon trigger lets the player discard any monster to search and immediately summon a second Predaplant from the deck. Scorpio most commonly brings out Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra, which in turn searches a Fusion Spell such as Polymerization. From there Predaplant Chlamydosundew can initiate a Fusion Summon using countered opposing monsters as materials, treating them as DARK, which feeds into the high-requirement Extra Deck pieces. Predaplant Longinephila adds further consistency by searching any Predap card on summon, and Predaplant Byblisp can recycle itself from the graveyard whenever a countered monster is present to extend plays further.

Going first is the deck's natural preference, as establishing Dragostapelia and Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon before the opponent acts makes the counter-spreading engine far more punishing. Going second is harder because the deck relies on Predator Counters already being in place to unlock several of its most powerful Special Summon conditions, meaning an empty opponent field at the start of a second turn requires the deck to place counters before it can access its better toolbox pieces.
