Playing Style
The Parasite archetype splits its main deck monsters across two distinct roles: disruption pieces that manipulate the opponent's field and deck, and Union monsters that protect whichever creature carries the gameplan forward. Parasite Paracide is the centrepiece of the disruption half — its Flip effect inserts a copy of itself into the opponent's deck, and when they draw it, it Special Summons itself to their side while dealing 1000 damage and converting all their monsters into Insect-types. Drill Bug exists specifically to accelerate this setup, fetching Parasite Paracide from the deck and stacking it on top whenever it connects for Battle Damage.
Parasite Paranoid takes the Insect-type manipulation further by equipping itself from hand to any face-up monster as a Quick Effect, instantly reclassifying that target as an Insect and preventing it from attacking other Insects — a soft lock that pairs naturally with Paracide's field-wide conversion. When Paranoid leaves the field as an Equip Card and hits the graveyard, it can Special Summon a Level 7 or higher Insect ignoring its Summoning conditions, which opens access to the two Metallizing Parasite Union monsters. Metallizing Parasite - Lunatite equips to a friendly monster to blank opponent Spell effects targeting it, while Metallizing Parasite - Soltite similarly shields its host from being targeted or destroyed by monster effects. Fusion Parasite rounds out the roster by enabling ad hoc Fusion Summons directly from the field, substituting for any specifically named Fusion Material and immediately triggering a Fusion when it is Special Summoned.
