Numeron Gate

Playing Style

Facing a Numeron Gate deck, an opponent often finds themselves staring down four indestructible monsters whose combined attack values spiral into the tens of thousands over the course of a single battle phase. The four Gate monsters — Ekam, Dve, Trini, and Catvari — each share the same two properties: immunity to battle destruction and a triggered effect that doubles the ATK of every Numeron monster on the field the moment one of them survives a battle. With all four present simultaneously, a single attack resolves, triggers all four doubling effects in sequence, and what began as modest ATK figures rapidly reaches numbers no conventional defence can absorb.

The deck's assembly of those four bodies is typically handled in one turn through external engine pieces that flood the field with Level 1 monsters, enabling all four Xyz Summons before the battle phase even begins. Once Ekam, Dve, Trini, and Catvari are all present, the plan is straightforward: attack into anything, let the chain of doubling effects fire, and push through for game with the inflated totals.

Because the strategy demands an open or easily forced battle phase, the deck strongly favours going second, where an opponent's board can be dismantled before the Numeron Gates are deployed. The reliance on reaching the battle phase with all four monsters intact does mean that removal spells or battle-prevention effects applied before damage is calculated can interrupt the doubling chain entirely, leaving the Gates as 1 ATK bodies with nothing further to threaten.
