Playing Style

Myutant decks spend cards from the hand and field as fuel to build a banish pile that simultaneously powers up monsters on the field and stocks recovery resources. Every lower-level Myutant — M-05, ST-46, and Mutant — searches either a monster or a Spell/Trap on summon, then tributes itself and banishes a card to bring out one of the three Level 8 bodies: Myutant Beast, Myutant Mist, or Myutant Arsenal. The type of card banished determines which Level 8 arrives, so the deck deliberately exiles monsters, Spells, and Traps to unlock the right piece for the moment. Myutant Evolution Lab accelerates this process by deploying a searcher directly from hand or the banish pile on activation and converting redundant monsters into fresh draws.

The Level 8 monsters form the deck's defensive core on the first turn. Beast negates Spells, Arsenal negates monster effects, and Mist turns opposing Trap activations into a two-card draw, each at the cost of banishing another card. This keeps the banish pile growing while simultaneously stripping the opponent of interaction. Myutant Fusion and Myutant Cry convert those banished cards and GY resources into Myutant Synthesis or Myutant Ultimus, the latter negating any card type by banishing a matching Myutant from hand, GY, or field. When any of these pieces are destroyed, they return banished Spells, Traps, or monsters to hand, making the deck remarkably self-replenishing and difficult to break apart through simple removal.
