Playing Style
Megalith aims to end its turn with a board of multiple Ritual Monsters, ideally including Megalith Aratron to negate targeted effects and Megalith Bethor to threaten mass destruction on the following summon. With Megalith Notrah Plura revealed from hand, the opponent cannot respond to Megalith Ritual Monster effects during that turn, giving the deck a window to assemble its field without interruption. The sustained pressure comes from stacking Ritual Monsters in the graveyard to fuel Phaleg's ATK and DEF bonus, which compounds as the chain of summons lengthens.
The deck achieves this almost entirely through its own monsters rather than external Ritual Spell cards. The Level 4 members — Ophiel, Hagith, Och, and Phuloch — each carry a self-tributing effect that Ritual Summons directly from hand, field, or in Phul's case even the deck, using themselves as Tribute fodder. Discarding a Level 8 such as Aratron, Bethor, or Phaleg kicks off the same process from hand, making every card in the deck a potential starter. Megalith Anastasis accelerates the engine further by fetching one low-Level and one high-Level monster simultaneously, then rewarding each subsequent Ritual Summon with card draw or an opponent's tribute. Megalith Phuloch's graveyard recovery and Megalith Portal's hand replenishment from the graveyard keep resources circulating across multiple turns, making the deck notably resilient to disruption that falls short of stopping the initial chain entirely.
