Malicevorous

Playing Style

Malicevorous is a DARK Fiend archetype made up entirely of Level 2 monsters, each contributing to a self-reinforcing swarm engine that aims to flood the field and convert bodies into Rank 2 Xyz Summons. Malicevorous Fork kicks things off by discarding any Fiend from hand to Special Summon itself, putting a monster on the field at no Normal Summon cost. Malicevorous Knife then earns its place as the Normal Summon of choice, triggering on summon to revive any Malicevorous monster from the Graveyard — ideally pulling back Fork or the third member of the trio. Malicevorous Spoon rounds out the engine by triggering whenever any Malicevorous monster is summoned, targeting a Level 2 Fiend in the Graveyard for a free Special Summon, though that monster arrives with its effects negated.

Together the three cards chain into one another quickly: Fork feeds the Graveyard while getting itself on board, Knife's Normal Summon triggers Spoon, and Spoon continues adding bodies so long as the Graveyard is stocked. The deck favours going first to establish a board of multiple Level 2 bodies before committing to an Xyz Summon, and the entire strategy depends on having at least one Malicevorous already in the Graveyard to give Knife and Spoon valid targets. Without that initial setup piece in place, the engine stalls before it can generate any real momentum.
