Playing Style

Majespecter's main deck monsters are a collection of WIND Spellcaster Pendulum monsters, each built to search out a different piece of the deck upon being Normal or Special Summoned. Majespecter Raccoon - Bunbuku fetches any Majespecter monster, making it the natural starter for most opening hands. Majespecter Crow - Yata and Majespecter Fox - Kyubi search a Spell and a Trap respectively, while Majespecter Cat - Nekomata adds any Majespecter card at the End Phase. Majespecter Toad - Ogama goes a step further by setting a Spell or Trap directly from the deck. Together these four allow the deck to rapidly assemble its spell and trap suite from a single summon, with Majespecter Porcupine - Yamarashi able to extend the sequence by special summoning itself from the hand whenever another Majespecter is already on the field and then recovering a Majespecter Spell from the graveyard.

The trap lineup is where the deck applies real pressure on the opponent. Majespecter Tempest is a counter trap that negates a Special Summon or monster effect by tributing a WIND Spellcaster, while Majespecter Tornado and Majespecter Storm handle problem monsters through banishing and shuffling respectively, both again at the cost of tributing a friendly monster. This tribute cost is rarely punishing because every Majespecter monster is immune to being targeted or destroyed by opponent's card effects, meaning the deck willingly feeds its own pieces into these disruptions without losing them to the opponent's back row first. Majespecter Unicorn - Kirin adds a reusable bounce effect during either player's turn, returning an opponent's monster alongside a Pendulum monster the controller selects, and Majespecter Supercell protects the deck's own activated effects from negation while the Pendulum Zone is occupied, making the established board difficult to disrupt cleanly.
