Lunalight

Lunalight Black Sheep is the engine's ignition switch, discarding itself to retrieve either a Polymerization from the Deck or a Lunalight monster from the Graveyard, and then replacing itself when used as Fusion Material by searching another Lunalight from the Graveyard or recovering a Pendulum from the Extra Deck. This recursive quality means the deck rarely runs short of material: Lunalight Kaleido Chick sends any Lunalight from the Deck to the Graveyard and impersonates it for Fusion purposes, while Lunalight Gold Leo searches on Normal or Special Summon and then recovers any Lunalight sent to the Graveyard in the same turn. Lunalight Masquerade and Lunalight Fusion add further redundancy by supplying Polymerization copies and enabling Deck or Extra Deck monsters as Fusion Material when the opponent has an Extra Deck monster on the field.

The Fusion ladder is the heart of how the deck actually closes out games. Lunalight Cat Dancer tributes a fellow Lunalight to attack every opposing monster twice in a turn, feeding into Lunalight Panther Dancer, which does the same without the tribute requirement and gains ATK for each monster it destroys. Lunalight Leo Dancer then clears all Special Summoned monsters after each attack, and Lunalight Liger Dancer sits at the summit, immune to non-Lunalight card effects and capable of wiping the board at Quick Effect speed by sending a Lunalight from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard.

Because the deck's pressure is almost entirely battle-based, it favours going second, dismantling the opponent's established board through a string of double attacks rather than setting up a single impenetrable interaction on the first turn. Lunalight Silver Hound and Lunalight Crimson Fox offer some mid-battle resilience — negating Spell and Trap activations and zeroing an opposing monster's ATK respectively — but the archetype's reactive tools come at the cost of establishing interruptions before the opponent moves.
