Legend of Heart is the deck's central engine piece, and every sequence begins with finding it. Paying 2000 LP and tributing a Warrior, the spell banishes up to three differently named Legendary Dragon spells from the hand or graveyard to Special Summon up to three Legendary Knights simultaneously — Timaeus, Critias, and Hermos — each of which triggers an on-summon effect that banishes a face-up Spell or Trap on the field. Assembling all three Knights on the same turn is the fastest route to Timaeus the Knight of Destiny, who requires no Polymerization and is simply made by sending the trio to the graveyard. That 10-star Warrior is completely unaffected by other card effects and can scale its ATK and DEF to the highest ATK value on the field during battle, making it exceptionally difficult to out in combat.

The deck also generates board presence through The Fang of Critias and The Claw of Hermos, each of which converts a Trap or a specific monster type directly into a Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck. The Fang of Critias produces Mirror Force Dragon, which destroys all opponent's cards the moment a monster you control is targeted, or Doom Virus Dragon, which tears through the opponent's hand and future draws. The Claw of Hermos yields equipment hybrids such as Goddess Bow and Rocket Hermos Cannon, which grant double attacks and situational combat bonuses to the monster they attach to. Because Legend of Heart recycles Legendary Dragon spells from the graveyard, the Critias and Hermos spell cards pull double duty, fuelling both the Knight summon and the Fusion Monster branches in the same turn.
