Playing Style
The ideal end board for an Igknight player has Igknight Champion and Igknight Lancer on the field simultaneously, backed by a stocked Extra Deck of Pendulum Monsters. Champion bounces an Igknight back to the hand to send an opponent's monster to the bottom of the Deck, while Lancer performs the same trick against Spells and Traps, making the pair a persistent threat that strips the opponent's field card by card across multiple turns. Getting both into play requires destroying three Igknight cards each, which the deck accomplishes naturally through its own pendulum engine.
The pendulum monsters — Igknight Squire, Igknight Crusader, Igknight Paladin, Igknight Templar, and several higher-scale counterparts — all share the same Pendulum Effect: place two Igknights in the Pendulum Zones, destroy them both, and search any FIRE Warrior from the Deck or Graveyard. Chaining these searches repeatedly floods the hand with material, and Igknight Reload accelerates the process further by shuffling surplus Pendulum Monsters back into the Deck for a full redraw. Igknights Unite can pull any Igknight monster directly from the Deck, and Ignition Phoenix adds a search trigger on top of its field-wide ATK boost whenever any Igknight card is destroyed on the field.
Because the destroyed Pendulum Monsters collect in the Extra Deck rather than the Graveyard, the deck recovers its resources far more easily than most, though it relies heavily on resolving multiple search effects in sequence and can struggle if an opponent disrupts the Pendulum Zones before the hand is sufficiently built.
