Ice Barrier

Revealer of the Ice Barrier and Mirror Mage of the Ice Barrier form the backbone of the deck's early plays. Revealer can discard a card to search an Ice Barrier Tuner straight from the Deck, while Mirror Mage builds board presence by tributing another Effect Monster to generate up to three Ice Barrier Tokens — simultaneously adjusting its own Level to prepare for a WATER Synchro Summon. General Wayne of the Ice Barrier extends the setup further: it drops from hand for free when the opponent controls a monster, then immediately fetches an Ice Barrier Spell or Trap on arrival. These three pieces together give the deck consistent access to bodies and disruption within a single turn.

The control elements accumulate from there. Georgius, Swordman of the Ice Barrier shuts off opposing GY effects while also carrying in a Level 5 or lower Ice Barrier on summon, and General Raiho of the Ice Barrier forces the opponent to discard whenever one of their monster effects resolves or see that effect negated outright. Warlock of the Ice Barrier compounds the pressure by requiring both players to Set Spells a turn in advance, dramatically slowing the opponent's ability to answer established boards. Dance Princess of the Ice Barrier adds a disruptive wrinkle by bouncing Set Spell and Trap cards back to the hand before they can be used.

The deck generally favours going first, using Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier to prevent Level 4 or higher monsters from attacking and stacking additional restriction layers before the opponent can establish their own setup. Recovery is handled by General Gantala of the Ice Barrier, which Special Summons an Ice Barrier from the Graveyard at each End Phase, and by Caravan of the Ice Barrier, which cycles graveyard material back into the Deck to sustain the engine across longer games.
