Gravekeeper's

The board Gravekeeper's players aim to hold at the end of their first turn is Necrovalley alongside a protected field of Spellcaster monsters, ideally backed by Imperial Tombs of Necrovalley. Necrovalley is the cornerstone of everything the deck does: it grants all Gravekeeper's monsters a blanket 500 ATK and DEF bonus, locks the graveyard against banishing and rearrangement, and when Imperial Tombs is live it turns every spell, trap, or monster effect activation into a potential negation. Gravekeeper's Shaman reinforces this lockout further, negating non-Gravekeeper monster effects that activate in the graveyard while also preventing the opponent from replacing Necrovalley with their own field spell.

Reaching this setup efficiently relies on Gravekeeper's Commandant, which discards itself to search Necrovalley directly, and Gravekeeper's Recruiter, which replaces itself on the way to the graveyard by fetching any Gravekeeper monster with 1500 or less DEF. Gravekeeper's Spy and Gravekeeper's Headman extend the board from a single summon, with Spy flipping to pull a low-ATK Gravekeeper from the deck and Headman reviving a Level 4 from the graveyard on summon. Hidden Temples of Necrovalley can then lock out all non-Gravekeeper special summoning entirely, a crippling condition for most modern strategies.

When the opponent does establish threats, Gravekeeper's Descendant provides removal by tributing a fellow Gravekeeper, and Gravekeeper's Supernaturalist, summoned through Gravekeeper's Spiritualist using Necrovalley as a condition, adds a searchable, effect-destruction-immune body that replenishes resources each turn. The deck favours a methodical, control-oriented approach over explosive combo lines, grinding the opponent down through accumulated restrictions rather than through a single overwhelming push.
