Ghostrick

Ghostrick decks need only a single monster on the field before everything else can follow, and the entire strategy flows from that one prerequisite. Every Ghostrick monster carries the same restriction — it cannot be Normal Summoned unless you already control another Ghostrick — so the deck's first priority is establishing that foothold, typically through a standalone Normal Summon such as Ghostrick Mummy, which then permits an additional Normal Summon on the same turn. From that point, the engine snowballs quickly, with Ghostrick Jiangshi searching further monsters from the Deck upon being flipped, and Ghostrick Siren milling cards to retrieve Spells and Traps or disrupt the opponent's field.

The central tactic is flooding the field with face-down Defence Position monsters, both your own and your opponent's. Field Spells such as Ghostrick Mansion and Ghostrick Museum prevent monsters from attacking into face-down targets while simultaneously permitting direct attacks when every opposing monster is face-down, which is how the deck actually damages the opponent. Ghostrick Witch, Ghostrick Nekomusume, and Ghostrick Doll all push enemy monsters face-down through different triggers, and Ghostrick or Treat can shut down a threat entirely if backed by a Field Spell. Ghostrick Skeleton offers an alternative path to ending the game through deck-out, banishing cards from the top of the opponent's deck equal to the number of Ghostricks controlled.

Defensively, Ghostrick Lantern and Ghostrick Jackfrost intercept attacks directly from the hand, and Ghostrick Festival can tribute itself to pull a replacement from the Deck mid-attack, making it genuinely difficult for the opponent to clear the board cleanly enough to push through meaningful damage.
