Gem-

The Gem- archetype is a Fusion-based strategy that requires very little runway before it starts producing meaningful results. A single Normal Summon of Gem-Armadillo searches any Gem-Knight monster from the Deck, while Gem-Knight Nepyrim does the same upon being summoned and immediately grants an additional Normal Summon for a Gem- monster, compressing setup into a single turn efficiently. Crystal Rose and Brilliant Rose both enable Special Summons from the hand at low cost, allowing the deck to reach its Fusion plays without dedicating multiple turns to assembling materials.

The Fusion Summons themselves are the heart of how the deck dismantles the opponent. Gem-Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli converts a sent Deck or Extra Deck monster into direct burn damage scaled to the number of Special Summoned monsters on the field, which can accumulate quickly in the modern game. Gem-Knight Citrine prevents the opponent from responding with cards or effects during the Damage Step, pressing through disruption cleanly, while Gem-Knight Master Diamond copies the effects of any Level 7 or lower Gem-Knight Fusion banished from the Graveyard, giving it a flexible role that adapts to what has already been used. Gem-Knight Hollowcore adds a layer of negation to boards that already feature a Fusion Monster, banishing three Gem-Knight cards from the Graveyard to shut down an opponent's effect and simultaneously pump all Gem-Knight monsters' ATK.

The Graveyard is the engine that keeps the deck running across multiple turns. Gem-Knight Lazuli recovers Normal Monsters when sent by a card effect, Gem-Knight Iolite retrieves Gem-Knight cards by banishing a Gem- monster, and Crystal Rose can revive itself by banishing a Fusion Monster from the Graveyard, sustaining follow-up plays long after the initial setup is exhausted.
