Galaxy wants to put Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon on the field and keep it there, using its presence as a springboard for increasingly threatening Xyz Summons. Galaxy Hundred is the engine behind this ambition: when activated, it sends a Photon or Galaxy card from the Deck to the Graveyard to fuel later plays, and then, whenever Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon arrives on the field, it lets the controller inspect the opponent's Extra Deck and either banish a monster from it or steal a Number monster outright. That theft clause alone can decide games by turning the opponent's own finishers against them.

Reaching Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon can happen through several paths. Galactikuriboh drops it directly from the Deck during an opponent's attack, immediately redirecting that attack and optionally attaching itself to an Xyz Monster as material. Galaxy Defense Robot Orbital 7 sets up the pieces more deliberately by tributing itself to search one Photon or Galaxy monster and send another to the Graveyard, then returning itself from the Graveyard whenever a Galaxy-Eyes monster arrives. Galaxy War Drake and Galaxy Summoner generate Level 8 pairs to accelerate into Rank 8 Xyz monsters such as Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon - Photon Howling, whose Quick Effect can strip the field of all other card effects by detaching three materials and tributing a fellow Xyz Monster.

Going second, Galaxy Journey provides recovery by returning banished LIGHT monsters, and Numbers Last Hope can rebuild an Xyz board directly from the Graveyard, paying half the controller's Life Points to Xyz Summon a Number monster on the spot. The archetype rewards patience in resource management, since many of its most powerful effects carry once-per-turn restrictions that punish attempting to rush every line simultaneously.
