Evil Eye is built on a single equip spell that the whole strategy radiates from: Evil Eye of Selene. Unlike most equip-based strategies where the equipment is a bonus layered onto an existing plan, every monster and spell in the deck has a conditional upgrade that activates only while Evil Eye of Selene sits in the Spell & Trap Zone. Keeping it there is therefore the central task of the deck, and the card rewards the effort by granting its equipped monster protection from destruction, targeting, and a stacking ATK bonus each time any Evil Eye effect or spell resolves — at the cost of 500 LP per trigger.

The deck opens by using Serziel, Watcher of the Evil Eye to search any Evil Eye card on Normal Summon, then assembles a board around Gorgon, Empress of the Evil Eyed or Zerrziel, Ruler of the Evil Eyed. Basilius and Basiltrice both Special Summon themselves when any Evil Eye monster is already on field, giving the Link materials needed without consuming the Normal Summon. Once the equip is live, Serziel destroys Special Summoned monsters, Gorgon negates effect monsters, and Evil Eye Retribution becomes an unnegatable counter trap, creating a layered going-first board. Evil Eye Awakening, Evil Eye Domain - Pareidolia, and Evil Eyes Unleashed fill the GY with resources that Evil Eye of Selene and Evil Eye of Gorgoneio can later recycle, meaning the strategy naturally sustains itself across multiple turns provided the Life Point cost remains manageable.
