Dragunity

Opponents facing a Dragunity deck are immediately put under pressure by a flurry of Special Summons that culminate in one or more powerful Synchro monsters backed by disruption before they ever get a chance to respond. The archetype is built on an unusual relationship between its two monster types: Winged Beast monsters carry Dragon monsters as Equip Cards, and those Dragons unequip themselves to become Tuners on the field, feeding Synchro Summons in rapid succession. Dragunity Dux is among the most important pieces of this engine, equipping Dragunity Phalanx directly from the Graveyard upon a Normal Summon; Phalanx then Special Summons itself, and the resulting Tuner plus non-Tuner pair becomes a Synchro monster immediately. Dragon Ravine, the field spell that Dragunity Remus searches from the Deck, keeps the Graveyard stocked with the Dragons needed to repeat the process.

Going first is where the deck is most comfortable. The end board frequently includes Dragunity Knight - Areadbhair, which banishes both a monster effect and the card that activated it as a Quick Effect, and Dragunity Knight - Areus, which can negate multiple opponent cards simultaneously while sitting atop an equipped monster for additional flexibility. Dragunity Falchion adds another layer by equipping Dragon Dragunity monsters directly from the Deck and banishing opponent cards when sent to the Graveyard. The combined result is a board dense with negation and removal that forces opponents to overextend simply to find an opening, while the self-replacing nature of equipped Dragon monsters means the deck recovers quickly even when individual pieces are disrupted.
