Playing Style
Facing a Doodle deck, an opponent often finds their attackers shut down mid-combat and their own monsters threatening to become fuel for something far larger. The deck builds pressure through a cycle of Dinosaur-based Tribute Summons and search effects, using Doodle Beast - Stego as the primary entry point. Stego deploys itself from the hand without a Normal Summon so long as no non-Dinosaur monsters are present, and immediately searches a Doodlebook Spell or Trap on arrival. That search typically fetches Doodlebook - Uh uh uh!, which sits face-down ready to negate an attack and simultaneously recover a Doodle Beast from the Graveyard, extending the board rather than simply stalling.
The endgame is typically delivered by Doodle Beast - Tyranno, which only needs a single Dinosaur Tribute to reach the field and can be Tribute Summoned as a Quick Effect during the Main Phase if a Dinosaur is already present. When it arrives via a Doodle Beast Tribute, it destroys a monster and absorbs half that monster's ATK, meaning it can close the game at a threatening stat line after clearing whatever was in its way.
The deck rewards patience on the first turn, establishing Stego and a set Doodlebook - Uh uh uh! as a defensive shell. Doodlebook - Uh uh uh! also recycles itself from the Graveyard on subsequent turns to search additional Level 5 or higher Dinosaurs, giving the deck a steady stream of Tyranno copies to threaten with even after the first has been removed.
