Deep Sea

Playing Style
The ideal end board for a Deep Sea deck holds a negation body on field backed by the disruption that Deep Sea Sentry and Deep Sea Minstrel generate along the way. Sentry, when discarded to pay for a WATER monster's effect, forces the opponent to banish a card from their hand face-up until the End Phase, while Minstrel can do the same from the hand at the cost of one additional WATER discard. Together, these two cards punish the opponent for keeping a full hand, which makes Deep Sea well suited to going first and setting up before the opponent can establish their own board.
The engine runs through Deep Sea Diva, which searches the smaller Sea Serpents and enables Synchro plays. Deep Sea Artisan and Deep Sea Sentry both trigger on Special Summon to mill the deck and then recover a WATER monster from the GY, generating material for further plays or feeding the GY for later turns. Deep Sea Repetiteur sits at the top of that chain as the Level 5 Synchro, requiring Diva plus at least one non-Tuner, and can recycle itself by Special Summoning a Level 5 or higher WATER monster from the GY when it leaves the field, extending the deck's threat across multiple turns.
Because so much of the disruption is hand-based rather than field-based, the deck commits relatively few resources to the board itself. A well-timed hand trap that stops Diva from resolving can interrupt the entire sequence before Sentry or Minstrel have a chance to strip the opponent's options.
