Daedalus

The Daedalus archetype is unusual among field-spell-reliant strategies in that it does not merely use Umi as a condition to unlock effects — several of its monsters actively count as Umi themselves while they occupy the Monster Zone. Leviathan of Atlantis - Daedalus treats its own presence as a live copy of Umi, letting the deck satisfy its own requirements without needing to draw or search the field spell first. This self-sufficiency makes the early game considerably more flexible, as Leviathan can Special Summon itself from the hand the moment any qualifying card is in play, then immediately convert face-up Umi into searches while removing a card from the field in the process.

From that search engine, the deck pushes toward its Link monsters. Levia-Dragoon - Daedalus, built from three WATER monsters, recruits another Atlantis-referencing card directly from the Deck on arrival and carries a hand-reset Quick Effect that strips the opponent of their current hand and replaces it with an equal number of fresh draws — an effect explicitly shielded from response. The endgame belongs to Azure Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus Rage, a Link-4 that refills the board with GY monsters on arrival and holds a Quick Effect field wipe that destroys everything except Umi itself. Daedalus Maelstrom reinforces this pressure on the opponent's turn, negating summons outright and, with a WATER Link Monster present, clearing all non-WATER monsters as a follow-up, with a GY banish line providing additional removal when needed.
