Playing Style

The D.D. archetype treats the banish zone as a revolving resource rather than a permanent exile. Many of its members deliberately send themselves or opposing monsters out of play, then exploit that accumulation through burn payoffs, ATK bonuses, and recurring Special Summons. D.D. Dynamite deals 300 damage per banished card the opponent holds, rewarding a strategy that has been stripping cards from the game throughout the duel, while D.D. Post grants monsters 300 ATK for each category of banished card type the controller has accumulated, tying board presence directly to how aggressively the banish zone has been filled.

The combat fighters form the engine's earliest layer. D.D. Warrior Lady and D.D. Assailant remove opposing monsters through battle, and D.D. Destroyer punishes its own removal by destroying a face-up card on resolution. Recursive pieces then refuel the board: D.D. Scout Plane and D.D. Patrol Plane both return themselves during the End Phase after being banished, the latter at the cost of banishing an additional card, which only deepens the pool D.D. Post and D.D. Dynamite draw from. D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation gives the deck a searchable recovery line by discarding one card to Special Summon any banished monster in Attack Position.

Going first, D.D. Borderline can freeze the opposing Battle Phase entirely so long as no Spell Cards rest in the controller's graveyard, making the deck capable of a disruptive lockout when built to keep the graveyard clear while the banish pile grows.
