Clear Wing is a WIND Dragon Synchro archetype that gets moving quickly, often needing only a single Tuner and one additional monster before it can put something meaningful onto the field. The low barrier to entry means the deck can threaten interaction as early as the first turn, with Clear Wing Synchro Dragon acting as a persistent body that negates and destroys Level 5 or higher monster effects and effects that target a single high-Level monster, gaining ATK from whatever it destroys in the process. Clear Wing Fast Dragon adds a second axis of disruption through its Quick Effect, zeroing out the ATK and negating the effects of any opponent's Extra Deck monster on the field, and conveniently returns itself to the Pendulum Zone when destroyed rather than simply disappearing.

The archetype's upper end escalates sharply once the board is established. Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon requires a Tuner Synchro Monster and a non-Tuner Clear Wing, rewarding investment with blanket immunity to opponent's monster effects during the turn it activates that protection alongside a Spell/Trap negate. Crystal Clear Wing Over Synchro Dragon demands even more material but answers almost anything on activation, and if the opponent removes it, it replaces itself with another Clear Wing from the Extra Deck. Clear Wing Synchro Dragon of the Four Heavenly Dragons furthers this recovery theme by converting an opponent's activated effect into an immediate Synchro Summon, keeping the board populated even through disruption.

Speedroid Clear Wing Wonder supports these monsters by destroying cards equal to the number of different Monster Types among WIND Synchros the player controls, rewarding a varied Extra Deck lineup, while its graveyard effect temporarily removes a WIND Synchro from the field to dodge targeting or destruction.
