"C"

Playing Style
Facing a "C" deck means playing under constant threat from the hand — nearly every member of the archetype can be Special Summoned directly in response to something the opponent does, whether that is a Normal Summon, a Special Summon, or the activation of a Spell Card. Rather than assembling a single powerful board, the deck disrupts the opponent's strategy at every stage of their play by either flooding their own field with parasitic monsters or generating immediate advantage for their controller.
Contact "C" and Flying "C" are perhaps the most disruptive cards in the suite, forcing themselves onto the opponent's side of the field the moment a summon occurs and restricting what Extra Deck mechanics that opponent can access for as long as they remain. Maxx "C" punishes combo-heavy strategies that rely on chaining Special Summons, threatening to generate enough card advantage that continuing the combo becomes untenable. Retaliating "C" adds a graveyard-locking dimension against decks that rely on Spell-driven Special Summons, and upon leaving the field searches out another EARTH Insect to maintain pressure.
Sneaky "C" offers a slower but potentially devastating angle, sitting in face-down Defence until the End Phase and then wiping every Special Summoned monster on the field when it flips. Super Armored Robot Armed Black Iron "C" rewards grindier games where multiple copies of the same Insect have accumulated in the graveyard, providing a large body capable of clearing the opponent's monsters by pitching its equipped materials. Because so much of the deck's disruption depends on what the opponent chooses to do, passive or low-summon strategies can limit how many triggers the "C" player gets to exploit.
