Playing Style
Facing a Bounzer deck, the opponent quickly finds their options constrained. Photon Strike Bounzer sits at the centre of the strategy, threatening to negate any monster effect the opponent activates on their side of the field and dealing 1000 damage each time it does so. Over several turns, this repeated negation and burn damage steadily erodes the opponent's ability to establish a board, with accumulated damage from repeated negations capable of closing out a game on its own.
The deck builds toward Xyz Summoning Photon Strike Bounzer by assembling two Level 6 monsters. Hammer Bounzer eases this considerably, as it can be Normal Summoned without a Tribute when the opponent controls a card and you control none, making it unexpectedly accessible from an empty field. Phantom Bounzer provides resilience: when it is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, it replaces itself by searching two Bounzer cards from the Deck, keeping the hand stocked for follow-up plays.
Blade Bounzer adds pressure during the Battle Phase by discarding a card to attack a second time if an opponent's monster remains after the first attack, rewarding aggressive play with multiple combats in a single turn. Bounzer Guard then protects whichever Bounzer is most critical by granting it battle immunity and forcing the opponent's attacks into it, shielding Photon Strike Bounzer while it continues to fire off negations. The reliance on Spell and Trap-free fields to unlock Hammer Bounzer's attack-negation suppression does constrain how many backrow cards the deck can comfortably run.
