Batteryman

Batteryman is one of the few archetypes built on a scaling mechanic: its monsters grow stronger the more copies of themselves are on the field simultaneously. Batteryman AA gains 1000 ATK for each AA you control in Attack Position, and Batteryman C grants all your Machine monsters 500 ATK per copy in the same position. Rather than assembling a single boss monster, the deck pressures opponents by flooding the board with multiples of the same card and then threatening Short Circuit, which destroys every card the opponent controls so long as you hold three or more Batterymen.

Getting to that critical mass relies on a chain of self-replacing effects. Batteryman AAA Special Summons a second copy of itself directly from the hand or Graveyard on Normal Summon, while Batteryman Charger fetches any Batteryman from the Deck when it is Normal Summoned. Batteryman 9-Volt searches the Deck on summon and doubles its own stats before destroying itself in the End Phase, making it a reliable turn-one extender. Batteryman Solar adds a graveyard-loading dimension, sending a Thunder monster from the Deck on summon and generating free Batteryman Tokens whenever another Thunder monster arrives, which helps trigger Short Circuit with minimal investment.

Batteryman Fuel Cell and Batteryman Industrial Strength offer disruption once the engine is running — Fuel Cell bouncing opponent's cards by tributing a Batteryman, Industrial Strength clearing a monster and a Spell or Trap at once through banishing from the Graveyard. Recovery tools like Quick Charger and Portable Battery Pack mean the deck can reload after a board wipe rather than simply losing momentum when its first wave is answered.
