Playing Style

Amazement decks run their engine through a small suite of main deck monsters that search and deploy the Attraction Traps, then exploit those Traps depending on which side of the field the equipped monster sits on. Each Attraction Trap can be attached to either an Amazement monster you control or a face-up monster your opponent controls, and whichever player holds the equipped monster determines which of the two available effects activates. When equipped to your own monster, the Traps offer utility such as the attack negation of Viking Vortex, the spell or trap removal of Cyclo-Coaster, or the battle-position cycling and graveyard recovery of Thrill Train. When your opponent holds the equipped card, the effects turn hostile: Horror House flips their monster face-down, Thrill Train banishes it until the End Phase, and Viking Vortex bounces it back to the hand whenever it tries to use its effect.

The deck is therefore built to be reactive, setting Traps and passing priority, then redirecting the Attractions mid-game by transferring them from your own monsters to the opponent's. Cyclo-Coaster's opponent-control effect adds an Amazement monster from the deck when triggered under the right conditions, sustaining the engine. Majestic Merry-Go-Round provides continuous pressure on either side, either shielding your monster from destruction or steadily draining your opponent's attack strength with each Attraction Trap already in play, rewarding the density of the trap lineup. Wonder Wheel offers a degree of hand filtering that keeps the strategy consistent across longer games.
