Atlantis, City of the Sea Dragon
6 cards in this archetype
Playing Style
The deck aims to end its turn with Atlantis, City of the Sea Dragon active in the Field Zone alongside at least one Sea Serpent monster in play, leaving the opponent to navigate a board where their monster effects can be negated by Monstrous Arms of Atlantis and their Level reductions from the field spell complicate their own Summon conditions. Reaching that state typically begins with Fiendish Vortex of Atlantis, which on Summon sends any archetype card from the Deck to the Graveyard and treats itself as Umi while on the field. That Umi presence allows General of Atlantis to revive itself from the Graveyard freely, and its discard effect fetches the Spells and Traps that keep the engine moving. Advent of Atlantis accelerates the field spell onto the board directly from the Deck, and should it be sent to the Graveyard it replaces itself with a Level 7 Sea Serpent, smoothing access to the larger threats the archetype can Summon.
Atlantis Call ties the pieces together by searching any archetype monster and, when the field spell is already up, punishes the opponent further by negating one of their Effect Monster's effects on the spot. The field spell's Level reduction interacts meaningfully with the Daedalus Link Summon clause, letting those monsters be fielded with one fewer material than printed. Monstrous Arms of Atlantis can revive a Graveyard member on arrival and then, as a Quick Effect, banish itself and send a face-up Umi to negate a monster effect, meaning the archetype converts its own Field Spell into disruption rather than simply treating it as a passive bonus.
