/Assault Mode

The /Assault Mode archetype takes a concept familiar from Synchro-heavy strategies and inverts it: rather than using monsters as materials to build towards something on the Extra Deck, it strips the Extra Deck monster away and replaces it with a more powerful version from the Main Deck. Every member requires Assault Mode Activate to reach the field, and each one carries a revival clause that returns its base Synchro form from the Graveyard if the /Assault Mode copy is destroyed, giving the deck a measure of resilience against removal.
The individual monsters offer meaningfully different endgame threats. Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode is the most defensively orientated, negating any card or effect by Tributing itself and returning to the field each End Phase it used that ability. Red Nova Dragon/Assault Mode leans on banishing itself as a dodge, stripping the opponent's monsters in response to activated effects or negating attacks outright depending on how many Tuners sit in the Graveyard. Black Rose Dragon/Assault Mode applies board-wide destruction whenever a monster arrives on the opponent's side of the field, while Crimson Blader/Assault Mode shuts off effects from Level 5 or higher Extra Deck monsters entirely. Junk Warrior/Assault Mode can be revealed from hand to search Assault Mode Activate or any card that mentions it, making it the deck's primary search tool even though it contributes meaningfully to a combat-focused board if actually summoned.
Because the entire strategy depends on resolving Assault Mode Activate on a specific Synchro Monster, protecting that Synchro before the trap resolves is a persistent concern the deck must build around.
