Angelechy Shatranga is the card the deck most wants to see active, and nearly every line the archetype takes points towards getting it into the Spell & Trap Zone. Once it sits there as a Continuous Spell, it caps the number of monster effects your opponent can activate each turn at five, a ceiling that punishes the resource-heavy combos most modern strategies depend on. Its placement trigger also searches any Angelechy Trap from the Deck or GY, typically pulling Angelechy Disturbance, which can then negate the effects of cards adjacent to a donated Angelechy monster or recycle itself to find further spell and trap support.

The route to Shatranga runs through Angelechy Bastion and its placement trigger, which installs Shatranga directly from the Extra Deck into the Spell & Trap Zone. Bastion is itself a Level 8 Synchro, so the deck spends its early turns assembling Tuner and non-Tuner combinations, often aided by Angelechy Problem, the Field Spell that converts discarded spells and traps into Level 2 Synchro summons while simultaneously slotting another archetype monster into the back row as a Continuous Spell. Angelechy Opening to e4 accelerates this whole process, fetching the Field Spell and immediately populating both the Extra Monster Zone and the Spell & Trap Zone from the Extra Deck, making it a reliable turn-one starter.

Angelechy Destrier contributes to the defensive layer by dealing 500 damage each time an opponent's card or effect resolves while Destrier occupies the back row, adding pressure over longer games. Angelechy Enlisted offers a tactical wrinkle, banishing a threat and then shuffling itself across the field so its owner can reclaim a free Synchro from the Extra Deck, giving the archetype a measure of recovery when its board is disrupted.
